Got 99 problems but Jay-Z ain't one

otherstuffthatilike:

Jay-Z - a man who has made millions off of hits that contain less than progressive language about women - has sworn to stop saying bitch. He realizes it’s detrimental affect on women and as a father he can’t imagine someone saying that to his daughter. This is a slow-clap moment if there ever was one, one which deserves attention and adulation if he follows through on it. In a world where the biggest hitmaker in hip hop is standing up for some political correctness in language - we all win.

Thanks Mr. Carter. Too bad so many “punk” artists still use this in everyday language, proving once again that the message of a disruptive subculture has been co-opted by the traditional conservation mainstream.
